Tonya Bredamus • Martinsville Realtor & Film Producer

Hey, I’m Tonya Bredamus, and I’ve been obsessed with real estate since I was a kid flipping through the homes in homebuyer magazines. I got my first license in Florida at 18. Then came college, a move to Virginia, and years of raising my family here. When I finally came back to my first love, real estate, I did it in the place I’d fallen for: Martinsville and Henry County.
I love a good house hunt, and I love listing a home so well that it’s under contract in a day or two. Most of all, I love helping people through the out-of-state move, because I made it myself. I know what it’s like to pick a new town from a distance and hope you got it right. I did, and now I help other people get it right too.
Whether you’re buying or selling, first-time or relocating from across the country, I work hard so you don’t have to.

I’m Also A Film Producer.
The Martinsville, Henry County, and Smith Mountain Lake region where I sell real estate is also where I produce film. I reached a national audience hosting and producing American Dream TV episodes across Southside Virginia, and today I’m focused on my own production work. To me, real estate and storytelling have always been the same job: showing people what a place can mean.
Communities I Serve in Southern Virginia.
Areas of Expertise.
The five things I get asked to do most often, and what I bring to each.
I’ve made the out-of-state move myself. I walk California, Colorado, and Florida buyers through the entire process: picking the right Virginia community for their lifestyle, scheduling virtual tours, coordinating with mortgage and insurance providers, and making sure their inspection contingencies are timed right so they can’t be on the ground.
First-time buyers get extra time from me. I explain pre-approval, closing costs, escrow, and inspection results in plain language. I know which Virginia first-time-buyer programs are worth applying for and which aren’t.
I work across eight named communities, from Martinsville’s Uptown to Smith Mountain Lake’s shoreline to Patrick County’s no-zoning rural acreage. I host an ADTV episode about each one. Each market prices and markets differently, and I won’t recommend a community I don’t know personally.
My favorite listings are the ones that sell in a day or two. That happens when pricing, prep, photography, and timing all line up. Alice Farmer’s house was sold the same day the sign went in the yard. That’s the goal every time.
When you’re moving to Martinsville from out of state, you don’t just need a home. You need a mortgage broker, a home inspector, an insurance agent, sometimes a moving company, and sometimes a contractor. I’ve built relationships with all of them locally. Gloria Larravide’s testimonial mentions exactly this.
What Clients Say.
Tonya deserves TEN stars. She brought me from looking for a home to HOMEOWNER within a month. She was so quick and responsive. I felt very cared for and valued. She doesn’t just sell homes, she makes sure you’re a happy homeowner.
